Danny DuBois
Career
I currently serve as the Director of Paid Media at Taylor Morrison, one of the largest and most trusted homebuilders in the United States. I lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of all paid digital advertising across channels including search, social, and online real estate marketplaces (e.g., Zillow, NewHomeSource). During my tenure, I brought media buying in-house, saving the company millions in agency fees while significantly improving overall performance. I also built the tracking framework and CRM infrastructure necessary to measure success beyond traffic and lead volume, enabling attribution tied directly to home sales. By the end of 2024, attributed sales from paid media increased 85% year-over-year, giving executive leadership the confidence to scale investment in channels that had historically stagnated. Through the development of channel and campaign-specific benchmarks, we continue to drive efficient growth in our paid media programs. In addition to performance marketing, I have supported high-impact brand partnerships, including collaborations with Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and Liquid Death.
Prior to joining Taylor Morrison in 2021, I served as Director of Social Advertising at Investis Digital, where I led a team responsible for campaign strategy, creative development, and paid execution across social platforms. I joined the organization in 2013, then known as ZOG Digital, as one of its first 25 employees, helping build and scale a best-in-class social media practice. During this time, I worked with brands including Pep Boys, Hotwire, Krave Jerky, and Tarte Cosmetics, contributing to the company’s growth through its acquisition by Investis in October 2017 and subsequent rebrand to Investis Digital. By the end of 2018, managed social media spend had increased 159% year-over-year under my leadership. That growth continued into 2019 as we expanded the client roster to include brands such as Kendra Scott, Smashburger, and CymaBay Therapeutics. In my final year (2020), my team managed a record $14.6M in social ad spend.
Expertise
Without a doubt, Facebook (and its family of apps including Instagram) is the most widely used social network. Daily usage on its platforms, along with the diverse ad products and robust targeting capabilities available towers in comparison to other social channels. For those reasons, Facebook advertising has been my area of focus throughout my career. My work in social content and advertising has earned recognition in Adweek, Mashable, The Davey Awards, and The Communicator Awards, among others.
Being on the agency side for so long gained me extensive experience with a wide array of industries including ecommerce, CPG, restaurant (multi location), and medical. The client growth I led through 2020 culminated in the agency I worked for becoming a Preferred Marketing Partner with Facebook, which granted us advanced access to exclusive tools and resources. Through that partnership, I’ve worked extensively with Facebook directly (including agency reps, industry-specific reps, and marketing-science teams) to help foster innovation and revenue success for the brands I’ve worked with.
Transitioning to the brand side at Taylor Morrison in 2021 allowed me to evolve into a broader digital marketing leadership role, extending well beyond paid social. In addition to launching and optimizing campaigns, I’ve become highly effective at driving cross-functional alignment and communication at the scale required for a Fortune 500 company to sustain and advance its success. By partnering closely with leadership across IT/development, sales, and field operations, I’ve helped elevate marketing fluency, strengthen national media planning, and improve measurement capabilities across the organization. As the decision-maker for paid media, I maintain a constant pulse on market conditions and industry shifts, setting a clear strategic vision while adapting quickly to change when needed.
While I’m a peer-proclaimed digital advertising expert, I’m also a student of the industry with the self awareness to admit that “expert” is not absolute. After all, as the late, great, legendary UCLA coach John Wooden once said, “it’s what you learn after you know it all that really counts.“
Personal
I live in Scottsdale with my incredible wife, Mary, and our Golden Retriever, Bogey (named as an ode to my golf game). We love traveling to new places, binge-watching trending shows, and hosting friends and family. I’m originally from the Bay Area and attended UCLA, where I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in art history. After college, I moved to the Phoenix area for work and have been here ever since.
While I’m fortunate to do what I love professionally, marketing and advertising aren’t my only passions. When I’m not cheering on my Bruin teams, you’ll likely find me on the golf course, often barefoot, drinking a light beer and trying to shoot a score lower than the Arizona summer temperature. In all seriousness, I play an absurd amount of golf and love the challenge and gratification the game brings. I’m also a fan of roller coasters, Sandals Resorts in the Caribbean, and tailgating at the Rose Bowl. Some standout life experiences include a river cruise in Europe along the Danube, dining at Thomas Keller’s renowned restaurant The French Laundry, playing in the Waste Management Phoenix Open Pro-Am alongside PGA pro Xander Schauffele, and going on safari in Tanzania.
I start most mornings with an energy drink and try to take full advantage of the desert’s 300+ days of sunshine by staying active outdoors. I enjoy creative outlets like painting and graphic design, and I’m a shameless Star Wars nerd (as long as you don’t count episodes VII–IX). I also enjoy watching sports, listening to true crime podcasts, and have a well-documented weakness for Taco Bell. Grilling year-round makes me happy, and I love to get down with some friendly competition, whether it’s bowling, darts, billiards, cornhole, you name it! Most of my friends call me “Doobie” (thanks to my last name, I swear), and I try to surround myself with other high-energy, positive people.

Clients
While these are some of the most recognizable brands I’ve worked with, I also have worked with many you probably haven’t heard of, and their stories are often just as interesting. Ask me about them too!
